About This Site!
Updated!
On October 3, 2002, after
accepting an early retirement, I moved to
Chiang Mai, Thailand. I had made two previous trips after becoming fascinated with
the people and culture from information garnered through Thai and Lao
friends, books, and the internet. I started this website for my friends and
relatives. I recorded my thoughts and emails in my
Journals, what would now be called "Blogs" I guess.
This is actually my SECOND
EDITION web page. This is an update from my original site as I have
now been here for more than four years.
It is interesting for me to
see how naive and impressionable I was when I first arrived here.
I am not going to try to change any of that information but simply update my
current interests and add current information.
I have now added
100's of photos to a SmugMug account.

Early
Racing:
I retrieved some of my scrap book material from the U.S.
Included are "the good old days" of racing with Triumph-Detroit at
Bonneville and my 3 World Speed records (rather immodest eh!)
Travel the
Burma Road:
An amazing travel experience driving into the country of
Myanmar.
Silver
Hawk: (photos)
My water borne home. Living on a boat for 5 years before
heading for Thailand.
Walking With Tigers:
Near the city of Kanchanaburi is a monk who has established a
sanctuary for Tigers. I took a walk with him AND the tigers.
60
Years on the Throne:
Learn about Thailand's beloved King.
Thaiger R.I.P.:
My first steady companion in Thailand, and my first loss.

My time and friends
are now dominated by motorcycling, Deja Vu for those that know my
past.
The Golden Triangle
area of Thailand and the country of Laos have some of the greatest
motorcycling areas one can find.
Because of this
riders, and non-riders alike, are drawn here from all over the
world. The fellowship and camaraderie is unbeatable.
From motorcycle trips
to sitting around and telling lies, or watching the current Formula
1 or MotoGP races it has provided a wide group of friends.

Chiang
Mai ToyRide is an annual
event which has just started in 2008. It is motorcyclists and
other sponsors contributing toys, games and other items to the needy
children of Northern Thailand. I am pleased to be part of the
organizing committee. Please visit the website for stories and
photos of the events and contribute if you can. |

Golden Triangle Rider
is the home of David Unkovich, my
friend, the guru of Motorcycling in Northern Thailand, Laos and
Cambodia. The best site for the S/E Asia motorcyclist. |
